Hello friends and thanks for reading this installment of Better Than Good and Improving™. Sometimes it is easy to believe that
motivational speakers, podcasters, bloggers, etc. want to portray themselves
are always being up. I remember Zig
Ziglar saying something to the effect that someone who is always on, is on
something! The point being, no I am not
always on top of the world. Just ask my
wife! She will tell you that I have more
than my fair share of down moments.
There is a reason I (at least try) to always say I am Better Than Good and Improving™. You must ask for what you want. Some refer to the Law of Attraction. While I find much good with the concept, I
personally am challenged by the new age thinking and talking about the universe
as if the universe was this all mighty and powerful thing, being, spirit
or what have you. My preference is to
talk about the creator of the universe, God himself and his divine Son, Jesus
Christ.
The point to all this is, starting Better Than Good and Improving™ was
delayed in part due to the inability to get some items I needed from others
before the launch. Things happen. I am happy to report that at least in the
case of starting this blog, I was able to truly be Better Than Good and Improving™ and accept
that it is what it is. I did what I
could. I needed input from others, and there was going to be a delay. I am fine with that. The Bible tells us that “And we know that all
things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called
according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28 KJV).
Who knows what detrimental thing might have happened if I had rushed the
start of Better Than Good and Improving™. So, take this all to heart when things do not
happen according to your timetable!
